Drivers must be 23 yrs of age and hold a valid drivers license for a minimum of two years to rent. If a renter wishes to add an additional driver to the rental agreement, the second driver must be 25 or older, and present a credit card and valid driver's license both of which must in his or her name. Debit cards are not accepted as a form of credit ID at the time of rental.

Debit cards may however be used as a form of payment at the time the car is returned NOTE: All forms of required identification MUST be in the same name.

Generally, at the time of rental, we'll require a credit card hold of 125 % of the total estimated rental charges. It's perfectly fine if you choose not to return the car on or before your scheduled return date, but we will place up to three additional holds on your card (depending on how long you keep the car) to cover expected rental charges. Upon your return of the car, all holds will be released, and the actual cost of the rental will be charged. Please note that your bank may take up to two weeks to post the released credit hold to your card. For full details, read the helpful terms and conditions.
Best Bargain will accept cash at time return if you choose not to have the rental billed to your credit card.
No. At the time of rental, the renter is required to present a valid driver's license or passport and credit card with his/her name imprinted on it.
We do not charge your Credit card at the time you book a self drive reservations, however the card will have a hold placed on it at the time of pickup.
Reservations can be cancelled with 24 hours notice of the pick up time with no charge whatsoever. Cancelations with less that 24 hrs notice will have a charge equal to 50% of the booking quote up to a maximum of USD$200.
No problem, just call a customer service agent and let them know you wish to extend your booking. If your plans are not firm we can accommodate your changing needs.
There is a 20 minute grace period before an additional hour is charged. Kilometers are calculated on the entire trip and additional kilometers are charged above what was included in the tariff plan you booked. Both the additional hours and additional kilometers are shown in the rate display when you book your car.
Yes, all have air-conditioning, central locking and CD players for you comfort, safety and enjoyment.
If your rental does not end at our rental station, we can mail, e-mail or fax your final charges you at home or at your hotel.
We will bill the same credit card you used for your reservation. The driver will never ask you for additional money.
Best Bargain has an extensive network of roadside assistance and our customer service team will work to ensure that you get back on the road as quickly as possible.
If the car isn't returned on or before the due date, Best Bargain will obtain additional card hold authorizations to cover expected rental charges.
Given the vast number of insurers and policies, it is extremely difficult for us to know which entitlements accompany your given policy. We strongly recommend that you contact your insurance company to verify your coverage’s before renting a car. In the event you do not have proper protection, Best Bargain sells a variety of protection coverage’s for your rental.

No, a hold on your credit card will be obtained upon your arrival in St.Maarten for approximately 125% of your scheduled rental charges. Upon the completion of your rental, your credit card will be charged the actual total. If you elect to pay in cash, no charges will be made to your credit card and we will immediately cancel the hold on your credit card. The payment can be made with a Visa, MasterCard or American Express card.
If you are being picked up at an Esperanca airport where Best Bargain does not have an in-terminal counter, your driver or a customer service agent will be waiting outside the exit door and will display a reservation board with your name clearly marked. Make your arrival known to the driver or customer service agent and he or she will take charge of your bags and escort you to the car or bring the car up to the curb. If an office, hotel or home pick-up, your driver will announce his arrival to you by phone.

No, all coverages for a chauffuer driven car are included in the rental.
Yes, our drivers are experienced and know the island very well. Your driver will try to be as unobtrusive as possible, but if you want him to point things out to you, please don't hesitate to ask him to do so.
Yes, all of the Best Bargain drivers can speak and understand English. If you encounter any communication problems, you can use you're the mobile phone provided by Best Bargain to speak with one of our customer service agents or a managers that is pre-programmed into your phone.
